There are a number of misconceptions that exist about French food, so we thought we’d make a post dedicated to debunking these common held beliefs and open up your eyes to the delicious world of French dining.
1. French restaurants are pretentious
Here at Allure, we want to provide you with the highest quality in food and service and an all round positive dining experience. Our experienced staff love what they do and are lovely, warm and welcoming.
2. It’s too expensive
Our head chef, Brad’s motto is
Affordable quality without compromise
So you can enjoy beautifully prepared French cuisine without a hefty price tag.
3. It’s bland
Just a quick glimpse at our meals will tell you just how French food is packed with incredible French flavours.
4. The food is strange
We often hear praises about our Escargot in garlic butter encased in golden puff pastry from people who were initially skeptical of the dish. Your menu is a classic French one with an Australian touch, so there are meals for the little more adventurous and for lovers of the classic Australian Slow Roasted Lamb.
5. It’s unhealthy
Although the French are famous for their eating habits that involve lots of butter, croissants and cheese it seems the French are one of the slimmer nations in the world.
6. French fries are French
Wrong! The origins of French fries date back to Belgium.
We hope to see you dining with us soon!
